The TC re-re included extra bits to fit stick packs. According to the Cougar manual, the Cougar does not include those bits. The chassis is the same, so if you find those bits from a TC you are good to go.
I think you could use velcro to hold the battery, and rely on the LiPo holders in case of a crash. Or you could use the LiPo holders and a bit of foam to make it snug.
Apologies if this double posts, I responded once already but didn't see it when I reloaded the page.
I emailed Schumacher today. They said the first batch of kits have shipped to dealers, including dealers in the US. The only caveat is that they wouldn't say which dealers it was who got kits ordered early enough to be part of the first batch. I would think Amain would be in on the first batch as they were taking pre-orders with a day or two of the announcement.
Amain said they have "a very small number" of Cougars coming on this first wave and won't fill my order. I know I was in early because I checked right after the announcement and it wasn't listed, the next morning it was listed and I placed my order right away. Assuming they are doing first come/first served, you had to have your order in by about 9 AM EST to be ahead of me, and I am not getting one this time around.

It is first come/first serve, but within your VIP group. Platinum first, then gold, silver, and basic. Then non-member orders are filled.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
