Ruined GT paint - attempt to fix

Post by mAdMan »

I received this is body so very long ago when I bought some cars off Craigslist. I can’t remember how long I’ve had this body, at least 10 years. I was tired of looking at it in its state so I decided to paint it.

Previous owner attempted to strip paint off and left it pink. So I masked the windows.

And laid it on thick

Before I laid all that color, I added marble spray.

Then raided my sticker collection

It’s meh but it’s better at least. Crazy how distressed it looks now for being not run. At least it isn’t pink anymore. What do you think?

Nice recovery! I like the marble effect. It would be nice if the red and blue were not so subdued.

Paint come out really nice. Good save. The red and blue being pearlized, almost pastel, looks cool. The marble paint reminds me of silly string... and who didn't love that stuff!

This post brings me so many memories. Thank you for having the knowledge and taking the time to share it. I have seen that coverite advert. I had it long ago.

As above it's a good save and I've never seen that marble effect before , good job .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
