Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
I emailed TBG back in January if they would be interested to do a repro and they happily agreed to do it.
I tried to get a shipping label the with the required Shipping company (Canada Post, I think) but couldn’t get it to work.
It was super annoying and I gave up after trying again and again over the course of a week or so.
Then life got in the way and I forgot about it with the project reaching a dead end, as it seems impossible to find a usable engine.
I didn’t email them again and they didn’t reach out to me.
It’s kind of a shame I couldn’t make the reproduction happen. I seem to be the only one to be able to track these bodies down. I have five of them now.
They are easier to find than the damn Losi GTX or RC10GT bodies
I also found a new set of wheel covers that could be reproduced…
I‘m not sure what I should do now. Any suggestions?

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Honestly, sell me one of the bodies and I'll send it to TBG. I'm located in the US. Message me if that's good to you.vonBraun wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 1:31 pm I emailed TBG back in January if they would be interested to do a repro and they happily agreed to do it.

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Thanks for the offer, but I‘ve emailed TBG again. If they are ok with it, the body will be on it’s way with a different shipping company shortly.
Regarding the build:
I managed to find a usable O.S. CV .15 Engine that I installed yesterday!
The wheels that came with the truck are ok-ish. The front’s are a bit worn around the bearing seats, but I‘m going to use them anyway.
Going to post some pictures in a few days…

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Quick update:
TBG is not responding to any of my emails so I guess they are not interested anymore.
Would have been the way to go quality wise and for ease of availability as they are shipping worldwide for a good price and offer a huge selection of bodies.
Bummer.

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Don't be so sure on that just yet. TBG just had a big Thanksgiving sale and gets tons of orders within a few days. He's a one man operation (I believe) and makes the bodies upon orders. My order of 8 bodies hasn't shipped yet, and understandingly so. I'm certain he's super swamped at the moment. Actually, maybe wait until after the new year since they also usually have a sale at Christmas time too. After my order ships, I'll shoot him an email as well regarding interest in the repo body.vonBraun wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 3:34 pm Quick update:

Thanks!
I think it might help if people show them that they are interested in the reproduction of this body.
Last time I was in touch with TBG they always responded within 24h.
Let’s see how this goes…

Project update:
Installed the engine and clutch plus a few bits and bobs I‘ve found over time.
And a little hint how I‘m planning to change the layout for better weight distribution and engine cooling.

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Got some news regarding the body reproduction!
I‘ve finally got a response from TBG. They apparently have a Pro-XRT body in their inventory and reproductions will be available for purchase around april or may.

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
I asked Team Blue Groove about replicating the Pro-X/XRT gear cover as well. They said they would reproduce it if they had one to work from. Unfortunately I ruined my gear cover when attempting to remove some of the yellowing from aging.... damn it!
If anyone has a gear cover they'd be willing to let TBG use for reproducing (you'll receive it back), I'll paypal or venmo the costs for shipping.
