Team Associated TC3 Ads

Post by Dangeruss »

in 1999 Team Associated entered the 1/10th scale world of 4wd touring cars with the electric TC3. Constructed entirely of plastic it's molded mini-tub chassis was underpinned by a fully adjustable a-arm and camber link four-wheel independent suspension with coil over shocks and a bearing supported steering rack with adjustable turnbuckles. The inline mounted motor connected via pinion and spur to a driveline consisting of interchangeable bevel driven Stealth ball differentials connected by a hollow carbon fiber driveshaft. MIP CVD's transferred power to Pro-Line Axis one-piece wheels and their V-Rage rubber tires. Left side chassis cutouts for battery mounting, composite shock towers, chassis braces and bumpers rounded out the kit. Available in Race, Team, and Factory Team the Race kits featured RC10DS sized plastic VCS Macro shocks with spring clip adjusters, plastic CVD's, steel turnbuckles, stainless bearings and one of six Protoform body styles with decals, less electronics. Team versions added Blue Anodized Aluminum bodied shocks, Blue Anodized aluminum MIP CVD's, Blue Titanium turnbuckles and PTFE/stainless bearings, less body and electronics. Factory Team cars were equipped with blue anodized threaded aluminum shock bodies, clip-on motor heatsink, Anti-sway bar, Graphite chassis, Unobtanium shock shafts, blue aluminum screws and PTFE sealed bearings, less wheels, tires, body and electronics:
