Kyosho Buick Stocker

Post by Dangeruss »

In 1989 Kyosho brought a car called the Buick Stocker to market. A 1/12 electric on-road racer the little Buick was built on Kyosho's Super Alta platform originally released in 1985. It was constructed of molded plastic with vertical chassis plates connected by tapered horizontal plastic tubes. Coil sprung aluminum front suspension arms and an adjustable tie rod/bellcrank steering system with built in servo saver completed the end while a transverse mounted battery with bottom loading access door took its place just ahead of the mid-mounted motor. In the rear was a bevel gear differential equipped pinion and spur direct drive transmission and dead axle rear suspension. Hex mounted nylon wheels, medium foam tires and full bushings rounded out the drivetrain. Sold as an ARR kit with a Lemans Stock 05 motor, wire wound mechanical speed controller and clear lexan Buick stock car body, less radio:
