Tribute to my Friend

Hello, it's been awhile since I've posted here. I wanted to show a very special car body...It's a tribute to my "brother from a different mother", Ramiro Padilla. Recently, I spoke to his brother, and was inspired to do do this project. The body is a JConcepts Mirage, mounted on my shelfer RC10. Every graphic was made on a cricut vinyl cutter, applied to a simple rattle can paint job. The windows were cut, and handmade netting installed.

We started racing RC cars together back in 1986. We called ourselves "R&R Racing", and his first car was a black #8. The track announcer couldn't pronounce "Ramiro", and started calling him "Ram Man"...The name stuck. Over the years, his interest in RC faded, but he never gave up on his first love...his guitars. Sadly, Ramiro passed away in 2018. He'll be forever missed.
