RC10 Worlds Car Project

Post by Wolffux »

Hey, there! After I have a Team Car Runner I wan´t to build up a worlds car for shelf purposes! Therefor I just bought an acid dipped Worlds Car chassis for unbelieveable 320 bucks!!! Actually my wife´s gonna kill me, when I tell her!!!
But better to spend the money on some really rare vintage RC10 parts then on clothes for the wife ( matching shoes to the handbag, etc.)!
Here are the pics! The dark spots are just shadows from the camera! It´completely aluminum!!!!
Will post progress if you want!

Good luck with your project. I'm sure that there are a lot of people that help you if you need anything.

Here's a link to a topic concerning a chassis that was also acid dipped. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6463&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=acid

Thanks for your comments! I wanted a complete worlds car but at the moment there is none at ebay which I would buy! :(
I saw a NIB one about a few weeks ago but the guy wanted 850€ for it ( which is about 1k$ ). So I decided to build up one by myself and to take the parts I want!

By the way I already thought about powdercoating it but I have no clue which colour I should use! I like blue a lot but I don´t know if a blue powdercoát would look good! I also thought about gun metal gray! :?

i would keep the acid dip finish. no offense but with the premium you paid for the finish, it would be silly to cover it up.

by keeping the finish i mean either raw or anodized, but i most certainly wouldnt powdercoat it.

i've always thought anodizing the tub to match the dark green on the ae shocks would be cool. it'd have a real militant look with all black plastic and hardware.
