I have some rims that I can't use because the RC10t axles aren't long enough to be able to get the axle screws on. Are these "axle extenders"?- will these work?

I don't think those will work. I'm assuming that you either have an A&L wheel or some type of wheel that was designed for a blackfoot.
If this is for the front wheels, there are extended axles out there. However, they usually require 5mm bearings.
For the rear wheels, there is an extension nut that can be used so you can keep the stock rear axle.
If you post pictures of the wheels, I'm sure that others can also provided information.
