I don't like Traxcrap because it's junk, not because it replaced anything. If there was ever a truggy that has a love it or hate it following, it's the Tmaxx. I built a Clod with my brother in law to do truck pulls back as RCRC/Ascot when it was around. the owner had dropped some serious coin building a puller truck and used to put $500 on the counter to anyone who could beat him....long story short, his truck broke one night, I had put a couple 13X3 twister gold label motors, dropped to an 8 tooth pinion, twin 8 cell packs, custom dual manual speed control set up...it was great, we put about 3 pounds of fishing sinkers on the front bumper to keep the front end down.....long story short, the owner actually stepped in front of our truck before we beat him and declared a "false start" and kicked us out of the competition. Never participated in the truck pulls again, but still kicked some tail on the dirt oval till they closed...He used to limit my race bucks to $50 a day (when I spent them). I would run 2 or 3 classes every race day, I gave away a shoe box full of TQ pins (feel stupid about that now dammit) and still had a couple hundred dollars of race bucks when they closed.
