This last weekend I had to go to my Grandfathers funeral across the state. While there I needed something to take my mind off of why I was there so I decided to visit a few hobby shops that I knew of. I ended up picking up an early CE car for $25....

This is a replica I am doing using all vintage parts....it's replicating an Ultima the Diamond 💎 One raced in the 80's....the chassis was a beat up pile I restored, along with the TrackMaster tranny...it will be a slow process, but here's the start...

This Speed Gems Diamond 12x2 motor looks like it might have caught fire. I've had a couple of armatures with rough comms clean up nicely with some comm lathe resurfacing. This one will be interesting to find out how extensive the damage is.

It came with some other parts I needed. I already have a nice Diamond motor, so this one is ok to be a rebuild project.

Got my NIP Tekin ESC and receiver installed in my RC10 and it's ready to roll.
Finished the decals,too.
Just a few small items left and it'll be all good. :D
