needing cheap esc
hey guys this is my first post on this site, first off this site is killer. anywho i have a 10t truck i dont know the specific model other than it is an team associated 10t but i am running a 17x2 turn team orin motor (yes i know it is a cheappy but it is still fast) and i am running a 3 cell a123 pack which is just under 11v and i was hoping that someone could point me towards a good and cheap esc thanks
Re: needing cheap esc
Associated has some web specials on there Quantum and Lrp esc's , they look to be good buys.
Re: needing cheap esc
Especially running that kind of voltage it seems a little foolhardy to be looking to put a cheapo ESC that could just as easy go up in smoke.
Rule of RC #13
Spend the money on quality electronics and you only have to do it once.
Go cheap and you'll find yourself regretting your purchase sooner than later.

Re: needing cheap esc
i would a agree that you need to buy good parts but when you are in college it is harder to justify spending money

It works with both brushless and brushed motors.catch 10 wrote:group b isnt the ezrun esc a brushless esc? and if it is can you run a brushed motor on a brushless esc?
The only mod you might have to make is to replace the fan with one capable of 3s voltage (the fan that comes with the esc is only capable of 2s max). I replaced the fan on mine with one from a Traxxas VXL 3s esc, and it worked great.
It programs very easily with the included programming card...its actually easier than programming a castle system via usb in a way...
I guess the only drawback is that, if you have to send it in for repair, you must send it back to china.
