needing help on my b4.1 worlds

Post by judd75 »

I put the kit together by the book. Took no short cuts. The perfomance is less than desireable
Any ideas to getting this car running better?

What aspect(s) of performance are less than desireable? Acceleration? Top speed? Handling? :?

I think I just higher expectations. I mean coming from nitro 1/8 scale to a 1/10 buggy is jard to get used to

With the right choice of electronics, you should be able to get that b4.1 at least as powerful (or moreso) than with nitro, with a fraction of the noise & fuss.

Simple question - are you running on a racetrack? Go try it at a racetrack... not a backyard. It's a 2wd racecar designed to race in the 2wd category... not a backyard basher.

if power is the key, and you want thrills comparable to 8th nitro 4wd, you will be disappointed. It's smaller, light, nimble, and 2wd only. The only place where it will be comparable to 8th nitro is on a 500m straight line so you can get up to top speed. Overpower it, and all you will get is bald rear tires. But take it to a properly designed racetrack for 10th scale offroad and it will run circles around any 8th nitro ;)

Tekin rs pro with 5.5-6.5 tekin gen 2 on 2s will get that thing running super fast if not fast enough program some boost and timin into the esc just watch your gearing things might get a little hot otherwise :)

Another vote for the Tekin RS-Pro with the Hot-wire setup. The ESC fit's perfect under the body, and with a Gen 2 Tekin 6.5 motor you'll be more than happy!! The hard part will be running the slipper loose enough to keep the front end down and not to break anything ;-).

I went with. Castle creations I bought the sidewinder. Stuck with stock gearing. And it seems to be running how I wanted it to. I cad ro modify my body casuse of the large fan on the esc. But im jist building this for fun not races. I also modified my body by cutting the body down half an inch or so to have it lay down flatter and just have a lower look. And this damn thing skoots.
