Looks nice. What do you use to cut? If you are into cnc, please check my post in the general area. I have questions.

Thanks for the replies.

Ok, the 540 is a Tamiya RS540 Sport Tuned Motor 49/62. it was a big upgrade back when the old silver 540 motor was the standard. It is a classic, what can I say, it is good for display.

All the part were cut and filed by hand. I design all the part and drew them in Auto CAD printed some copies and use a jewelry saw tool and a lot of patience to cut them out. I look into making them in a CNC place but it was to expensive to make a couple for myself so I didn’t really went with it.
I have some pic of some of the process I’ll post them tonight. I will post some pics of my other RC10 it is a little more custom.

I do think it is kind of hard core, but I really like this stuff and I put a lot of pride into my craft. If you could see this parts in person you might not believe they are hand cut. It probable took me a week to make the parts for this car. And like a 2 weeks to make the other car. I only work on them at night after my daytime job.
You go through a lot of blades cutting CF and aluminum by hand. It is time consuming but I love the result and it is very unique. I don’t have picture of my other car here but so have to get home to post them ( I will post some more tonight).
Thanks again.
:D

Hope you have a good ECLS/Ventilation System when you do that stuff..... I hear ya on the CNC stuff. Our rates for NC machines is $170+ per hour. It only pays to do ALOT of parts.

Looks great!

Absolutely beautiful handwork... but that motor is still completely out of place in any RC10—especially a Worlds car. ;)
