Could be pinion size, try smaller first, if you gottem' (Watch temps!).

In my experience with brushless cogging usually only happens when the vehicle is trying to start. Almost like it needs a push start. Once it is rolling though you should not have any cogging issues. It seems to me like your system is not getting the power it wants. With the car off the ground it takes very little energy to spin the tires. I had a similar issue with my T4 and a 6900kv motor. I was using a cheaper 3300 nimh battery and under full acceleration it would feel like it had a miss untill it got up to speed. But it did get up to speed though. Again it takes more draw accelerating than at a constant speed. I would try another battery and then look at the motor and esc. If it was the transmission you will know it really quickly as it will not turn for long.
