Nothing modded on the tranny now but I've got a slipper shaft on the way and intend to add a slipper to it. :)

Vid from today's first run on the track (first sunny day in weeks!) - ran it with a friend's Schumacher CAT XLS (first part of the vid). These vintage cars are simply awesome!

Car's equipped with a simple black can motor now as that's the "spec" motor for our upcoming vintage event - but it's quite peppy. :) Buggy jumps very nicely and overall handles the track well. Very good first run!

Let me know what you think. :)

That has to be the ultimate interpretation of the modern Modded X-2, WOW! Great build and it looks like it performs very well. Love the paint job and the attention to detail it fantastic!

Great video BloodClod - its great to see these old cars being run! Your Jrx2 looks particularly good, really soaking up those bumps!

Think i've got to build myself up a runner X2 for next year :D

This is sweet, love the paint job, very refreshing and actually quite different from the norm. Almost 'cartoony' in a way that really works! :D

Does anyone here know what kind of steering bellcrank set-up BloodClod is using in this build?

It looks RPMish, but with the servo actuator arm at 180 degrees instead of 90 degrees (the latter being the stock configuration) in order to rotate the steering servo 90 degrees and make space for the ESC in front of the battery box.

Does it look familar to anyone?

Rats.

I have a shiny new RPM bellcrank mounted on a JRXT new build I got off eBay a couple years ago, but they didn't send the 180 degree arm.

Not going to be easy to come by one of those ... it makes for a very clean looking set-up.

Hi guys,

Sorry been a little busy and haven't been on the boards lately. Yup, the steering setup is from RPM and they came with the arms in both configurations.

This car ran great at the vintage race we had late last year - took back top honors in the A mains even! :)
