I just picked up some FT -0.5 degree aluminum hub carriers and after installing them i'm noticing alot of fore and aft play AND toe-in/toe-out play on the hinge pin. The carrier has maybe 1 to 1.5mm of movement on the hinge pin WITH the spacers in place. I'm thinking of a few things, 1) FT hinge pins are more stout than the Team Car (doubt it), 2) the hub carriers I got are worn out, 3) the lack of bearing spacer in there is contributing to the toe-in/toe-out issue (i got the wrong ones)
Thoughts???
Don't mean to hijack but i think it may go to show the CONS of aluminum on moving parts...
UPDATE: I slipped a thin 1mm washer in with the spacers and 90% of the play is gone. I think the rest has to due with the lack of the gt2 spacer INSIDE the carrier. As soon as i get them, I'll update again.
