It's kinda like a twisted phsyco version of a bolink digger. Me like me like! Looks like it will be a laugh riot to drive.

You bet!

I'm kinda looking forward to running this one..

The brittle plastic on this thing won't take too much abuse, but it ought to be fun at least once!

Ft wheels narrowed...old Dual Sport tires stretched over 2" wheels..

Now it can steer!

I'll use the stock tie rods/steering set up with a little modification.

5X11mm bearings fit perfect over stock Cox front axles. :D

Now where's those pesky C-clips?...

I might give it a shot...

I hope it doesn't collapse under it's one weight once the electronics are stuffed in..

:D

I can't wait to see another creative build!

Any of these old solid axle cars (Hornet, Grasshopper, Nikko Rhino, Radio Shack Golden Arrows..) make great starts to some wild stuff.

That's what I love about spare parts and cheaper/old/used RC cars...the sky's the limit when it comes to coming up with something a little different.

Don't those front tires need some inserts? Now it looks like you will be running on the sidewalls... :?

Good catch.

I've still got to find something that'll work.

I was lucky the DS tires could be salvaged, the previous owner was really into super glue.

What was left of the DS stuff (foam) wasn't going to cut it...

Thanks!

I didn't really do all that much. Most of it will be 40+ year old Cox & 20+ year old Nikko parts with a pinch of HPI...the rest is just spare time.

It won't be a practical build, but it'll be different.. :D

I like the idea!

I'd love to see someone else tackle that one though..

(I've got a few other loose ends to finish up first..)

:D I've spent a bunch of time on another buggy already:

Hmmm, "Thinking outside the box" 2.0...

I decided to make the car a lttle less silly..(I loved the cartoon look, but this may be at least a little closer to what I originally had in mind.)

Like my other projects, they'll be a few twists and turns before it's completed.
