Thanks guys,
I made it finally after about 13 hours of flying. Holy cow this place is a bit confusing. Anyway, time to unwind and get some rest for tomorrow.
You guys pretty much nailed most of the questions. I will be here for a year. I did ship most of my stuff but I am not quite sure how I am going to get off base to any of the tracks though since it looks like I won't be able to operate a personnly owned vehicle . I will find out more in the upcoming days.
Thanks and I will still be hanging around here.

Have a great time there... We are coming off a near 2 year stint in Germany so I can appreciate what you are going through. We are flying back to Canada this week, it's been challenging but very rewarding living abroad.
