no scoop, but if def has different features than asso's xx.

i dunno if anybody ever made a lwb conversion for the xx, but i swear i remember the listing and header card saying something about that. way way back i think i pm'd scr8p the part number, but those pm's are long gone.

i usually keep my header cards, but i dont really keep them all in one place... i'll see if i can dig it up tonight since i'll be going thru some stuff anyway.

btw thats a sweet car dr.r. but you might want to think about using some truck bellcranks since you got the front kicked out.

hoopty, if you can find the post of your ultra molded car after you mounted the body, i'm almost positive you mentioned it there. i tried looking for it, but i couldn't find it. you did send me a pm about it, too. but, i don't remember the number. i'm pretty sure it was an xx-l, but the A-8008 does sound .....................

Per my Losi docs 8008 is the standard XX.... I can't find the PN for the XX-L, I will keep looking. I thought I remembered seeing it.

I was gonna say he needs to move the nose back to the short position... I know it means redrilling the tubes and making a cutaway for the front servo mount. :P

Ah but I think you may be wrong, the reason I picked the Dahm's warrior when it became available was that the side pods of the body go up quite away at the edge. Maybe I can explain better by saying the top of the pods are concave so the edge where the tub would sit is higher than the rest of the pod. Does that make sense?

Probably not. I have a cold you see and didn't trust myself to fit the body this weekend...

Anyway it looks to get pretty low and will be as good as I'd like it.

Sorry for the hijack.

I haven't had much luck on this issue so far. This is a protoform losi ripper body i trimmed up but as you can see the sides are too narrow.

So I dropped by the hobby shop and picked up these vintage beauties.

Before I go slicing and dice, what do you think is going to fit best?
