Bodies for the '91 RPM Worlds buggy

Post by shodog »

Last night as I was sorting out parts for sale I had my worlds buggy out on the table and my son said, are you put a body on that? Which got me thinking, what body fits best and looks best. I have tried a couple of bodies that just didn't work out. So lets see them '91 RPM Worlds buggies with their bodies on them

are you talking about the rpm ultra molded chassis?

if so, the losi xx is THE body to use imo.

Hey Jim are you having a garage sale? I would like to stop in and see what you got before you list everything on ebay? We still need to swap out the Jeep. Devon

i still think mine was an xx-l body. on its ebay listing something was mentioned about a long chassis for the xx.

regardless, the xx is the body for the ultra molded.

Do you mean just on the ultra molded chassis?

I have the RPM kit on a tub, with the truck plate in the long position and have a Dahm's Warrior, no pics of the body on though, I am trimming it this weekend...

The body vs. chassis issue is only due to the RPM shock tower in the rear having the nub for the body clip, no? :?

the instuctions that come with the ultra molded chassis kit tell you to use a losi se body. it just so happens that a xx body seems to fit pretty good, too.

Sorry, my comment was in reference to Dr R's concern over fitting a body to his tub car. Speaking of which... I hadn't noticed his chassis being cut down yet. Can't get the body low that way. :?

Hoop, it is a bit difficult to tell, but yours looks like an X-Celerator body X-8042, which came on the BK edition. There should be a small scoop on the Drivers side pod on top.... that usually is the dead giveaway, the windows look like a X-Cel though.

David, there is no specific name for the XX body, just XX :D

Yeah, if you can find them. The SE and the XXCR are non-existent. Stick with the XX series.... they look the best IMO.
