Unfortunately i dont have a stealth cap on hand to measure. If you want to send me one I'd be happy to measure it, then i could give you a free one from Shapeways (and send you yours back) for the trouble.

we can do that, I have a cap on one of the ones here, I can bring it buy 1 day this week. since you are in orange.

Oh cool, that will work. I cant imagine those spacers and cap from shapeways would even be 10 bux.

Cool, should be a great use of this technology.

I'm going to update the first post of this thread with a running list of things I'm going to design and make on Shapeways.

You guys rock with your high-tech custom parts ordered from the Cyberspaces! I hope you get a kick back when we order your designs from shapeways?

Anyhow, I have a suggestion for the castor wedges, and that would be to build them into the front arm mounts. I know this is way more work but wait: if they were one piece the screw hole could be square with the bottom of the mount, which would make the screw head sit flush in the bottom of the chassis. I know those oval guys aren't landing jumps (on purpose) but surely flat screws would be a boon? This would make them a lot better than the originals IMO.

That's how my arm mounts are in the first post, the screws are perpendicular to the bottom surface so the screw heads sit flat, but the hinge pin holes and shock tower mounting surfaces are tilted. What kind of angle do they need to be for the oval guys?

I can't say since I'm strictly off road, but a long search turned up reference to 10 degree cheetah castor wedges. Sounds likely, since I don't think you'd use a lot of castor on-road. Guys could use your new -5deg blocks (25 degree) to get 5 degrees of castor if 10 degrees was too much when using 30 degree blocks.

The Cheetah ones were 5 or 10 degree IIRC. I always ran Ascot sprinters, not BBT, so I didnt need the wedges :)

I have several of those wedges in a bag of parts. I'll try to remember to dig them out tonight to measure them.

Here's the CAD model of the Stealth spacers, I'll add the Stealth cap to it once I borrow the part from alien3t 8)

Hi mk-zero,

Nice work!

I also have a BBT sprint car so I also will be interested in caster wedges.

Thank you, DaveM.

Good to hear there's interest. As soon as i get an angle I'll design them and have some made.
