Scrape it and solder. See what comes up after you clean it up.

Might be worth the few minutes of scraping and cleaning.

If this was my car, I'd replace the motor. Take what you will from that.

By the time the soldering joints are botched, it's time for as new motor.

I bought a brushless motor and esc combo for my rc10t a while back. It's a 3300kv Hobbywing....

Just tried it out. I found I didn't have a 20 but I had a 21 tooth so I put that in. With cold road rage 2 tires it was all I could do to control it. Cold tires had a lot to do with it as we run them on our rc10gt s and have to get them warmed up...

Okay just hooked up my castle 4600KV and Sidewinder 2 in my vintage RC10 the motor runs in reverse, when i pull the trottle so I initially just reversed the channel on the Flysky controller but also read that you can just switch two of the motor...

What everyone else already said. The ESC and sometimes motor instructions almost always say to switch 2 wires to reverse motor direction.

Okie, I have a 17.5 motor and a 5.5 motor, both Novak Brushless, the guys at RCHR are running 8.5 and 10.5, I know if I use the 5.5 it'll be too much to handle on the track on a 2wd T4.

Can the 5.5 be geared down? Enough to compare to atleast an...

You dont say if you are running LiPo or NiMh cells but...

There is a local guy over here in OZ that regularly runs a 3.5 or 4.5 motor in his B4, but he also only uses 4 or 5 cells depending on the track conditions..

Just a thought..

Are there any good sources of parts for brushless motors? My Reedy NEO 1 (which I know is old) has an end cap that someone thought should have the turn rating engraved on it. Just curious if there's a 'go to' place for motor parts that might not be...

The tires my car had were the genuine dominator dirt oval tires, very soft and sticky. Excellent info that yours are duratrax. I will search for some. The dominator tires were a bit too soft IMO, but might have been good for turf or carpet.
