Along side my Pro XL resurrection, I will also be getting my ZX-R back up and running. I have several motors at my disposal, but I want to use the one that has the most torque. Reason being, I will likely be using a 91t spur (stock is 100t) and with the top shaft to motor shaft spacing being larger than on most cars, I'll need a larger pinion to reach it and still have enough adjustment range to tweak the gear ratio and not burn the motor or ESC up. I'll be using an LRP Sphere Competition. The motors I have to use are:
LRP X-12 10.5t Stock Spec
Speed Passion 10.5t (pretty sure this an early version)
GM Racing 10.5t Pro (also an older motor)
CS Electronics Super Sport 9.5t Legal
So out of these 4, which is the most torquey...? I realize brushless motors have inherently MUCH more torque than brushed motors but I won't be doing any racing and just want to be sure that I'll only need to be doing routine maintenance and not replacing electronics.
Any suggestions on ESC settings? I will be picking up a top shaft to use an Associated V2 slipper assembly as well so I should be able to mitigate any belt nuking... I hope
Thanks in advance!
