Re: - 4-10 MIP Legend RC10 with Tecnacraft wheels and CF tub -
As you may have noticed, I'm using Quarter Flash ball-raced a-arms, smoooth

And I've just fully rebuilt the tranny with brand new felt gasket and black motor plate, note the Losi top shaft that will later be fitted with a Hydra-drive (if I can find one)

Yet another defect: the holes in the sides of the chassis don't line up with the ones in the rear bulkhead, I'm really starting to think they were constantly drunk when they engineered the chassis, or maybe they smoked too much graphite?

looking good, david.
since yours is an original tub, do you know if the new ones have the same issues with how the parts fit?

Killer build! I really want one of those tubs, can't afford the 4wd conversion though....
I know its late, but do one of your tecnacrafts face the wrong way??

I really don't know, but I hope they don't beacuse you would already have to drill the front kick-up, which is a pita in itself... Maybe look at the AC10 build and read the comments? I'll have a look at it later on todayscr8p wrote:looking good, david.![]()

Yes, there is one rear wheel that has a mismatched inside spoke ring, I saw it before bidding, but how many times in a lifetime does a European guy have the opportunity to buy a set of 4wd Tecna? I'm happy with it and hope to find someone that has the same issue and make a swap, one day... maybeWyattriot77 wrote:Killer build! Here's a link to Alec's museum (Inet.RC) to see what the car looked like before I revamped it.

OMG! Ball bearings at the A-arms! And I thought I am crazy!
Great car!
Nice to see another Carbon tub on the board! My Chassis had exactly the same missdrilled holes for the rear-bulkhead! Haha! Yes, they must be drunken all the time. For each hole one Guiness! Nice job!

super-duper.
Getting al these parts together in belgium is an accomplishment on its own, but you made it look even better.

Did you also have to dremel at the rear on each side to fit the arm mounts?siebenelch wrote:OMG! Ball bearings at the A-arms! And I thought I am crazy!

Oh yes!
there was a lot of demeling necessary everywhere. Also at the A-arm-mounts, like yours.
The only very good thing are the very good countersink-holes for the screws. Finally deep enough for the screw-heads.
The carbon-tub is ultra-strong. They could make it with half thickness IMO.
Were do you get all the parts? Is there a shop in Europe to get original Associated-parts? Or only Ebay.com?

Re: - 4-10 MIP Legend RC10 with Tecnacraft wheels and CF tub -
Well, this is the result of a 3 years hunt on Ebay and here on RC10Talk, most of these parts were really tough to find, and I wanted to build a car with a sort of gathering of all the most hard-to-find parts available for the RC10
The '10 was very poorly distributed here in Belgium back in the good old days and even the most common part is no more available anywhere here since a long time

Re: - 4-10 MIP Legend RC10 with Tecnacraft wheels and CF tub -
Made some small progress on it today: I actually forgot I already had a new in the bag Hydradrive so I fitted it as soon as I stumbled on it. I also bolted some cute bulletish wing mounts, can't remember who made those. Then I couldn't resist to mock up the car with the black MIP shocks and MIP gold shaft I have on another car. Well, my first idea was to use Kyosho shocks to break to black and white scheme... what do you guys think?

Re: - 4-10 MIP Legend RC10 with Tecnacraft wheels and CF tub -
now it needs a lightspeed lightsink and a factory works/a&l chassis brace to fit in with the ultra rare parts. not that it needs the brace since the the tub is so strong, just because it would look cool.
