Re: Pretty In Pink -- RC10...
Wow--this is the most friendly R/C message board I have been on, I didn't expect to see all these replies... and thank you so much for the compliments about the car.
To answer some of the questions:
01. The electronics are mostly for display only, a car always looks better with "stuff" in it--however the car did do a few hot laps around the house...
02. Here is what is in the car currently:
Futaba S9451 servo
Futaba MC401CR ESC
Futaba 2.4 GHz FASST RX
Team Check Point 5400 Lipo Pack
Team Check Point 12 Double Motor
03. The battery cup will need to move forward to fit the Lipo pack, the chassis is not drilled--the magic of servo tape!!!
04. Running Duratrax Evader BX EP front wheels and Nitro Evader BX rear wheels (center section drilled out slight to fit the tapered axles)

Re: Pretty In Pink -- RC10...
So the wheels fit without any axle modification or bearing changes?

Here is the front axle on the car:

Here is the front steering block:

The front wheels uses (4x) 3/16 x 3/8 bearings
No changes to the rear axle/bearing other than drilling the center of the wheel out to fit the tapered RC10 axle.

That looks brilliant, love the chassis.

Re: Pretty In Pink -- RC10...
Hey Atlas, That is definitely different so of course I have to like it
. Gonna have to show my 6 year old daughter tomorrow these pix. She's got a Team rc18b that she wants all pink...I've been stalling...not a slam to yours but she changes her mind like her mother so I'm not gonna paint 10 different bodies for her. We gotta find the right pink. I am curious too about the paint or is it powdercoating?
Oh and Welcome to the board from another newbie.

Re: Pretty In Pink -- RC10...
I remember seeing a green one on ebay a long time ago but thought it was a painter's experiment. Remember bidding on it and it going like over $100 or something like that for just the main chassis. Couldn't figure it out then but this makes more sense now...wether it still should've gone that high is still a mystery to me. Thanx for the info Asso_Man...are they really rare?

not that rare, but a new condition one should easily fetch more than 100$ todayklavy69 wrote:I remember seeing a green one on ebay a long time ago but thought it was a painter's experiment.
