Does anyone know of tracks in or around Massachusetts that run a Vintage class? If not vintage what about stock class 27T? My local track(R/C Excitement) only runs modified.

Just finished getting my 10R5 ready and took it to the track. The track has changed a ton and has no traction for pan cars. Even though I just painted a body for it I still ordered a 235 kit anyway, so we'll see how it goes.

I received a B4 for Christmas and purchased a 17.5 motor for my RC-10, so that my 10.5 can be used in the B4. Now I might be entering the Rc-10 in 17.5 class and the B4 in mod buggy. Have a feeling the SC10 will be sitting this one out.

I'm reading conflicting reports about whether the new motors require the old break in/run in methods or not?

Do they or don't they? And why?

Eg diffrent brush types or ?

Bonus points if you can tell me what the successful vintage racers do!...

Think your're both right. Measured some silvercans time ago and eta % was max with new (just broken in) brushes, max power was rising with increasing contact area - but decreased with full contact. My thought was it's the (perhaps) already burned...

I got this barely used Grasshopper from a co-worker for a good price. He aquired it from his uncle when he died and it has sat in his basement for the past 16 years. I told him I would gladly take it off his hands and give it a good...

True, true, the old knobby tires were not all that realistic, but they just looked sweet on those old school buggies. Better looking than the crop of tires that followed in my opinion.
