There's some chatter, yes, but only on the horizontal surfaces now...
If there's an issue with it, I'll exchange them.

Got rid of the vertical chatter though...

Endmill geometry most likely. It came with the 3 flute.
I can either try a 4 flute, or drop down to a 2 flute, or spring for a 5 flute...

This thing is driving me insane, but I know I can beat it fully.

The camera flash also makes it look 200% worse than it is.

These should be final production-run quality, but I won't know till I get more feedback. So far, the initial feedback on Delrin is positive.

OK, You need feedback...here is your feedback .:

THE BUILD.
- The black was received pictured above (or below, not really sure where its pictured at this moment) and the pictures don't do it justice. Looks great, 'feels' great. I plan on getting several more in each offering.
- The halves fit together very tight. I received it together and had to use a screwdriver to get them apart. Very nice fitment together. This loosened up a tiny bit after it being together/apart several times. Definitely enuf dowel pins to keep this baby lined up and together.
- Bearing fitment is just as tight if not tighter than a new OE case. I actually had a bear of a time getting the bearings back out of the case for inspection and experimentation.
- Alignment of chassis holes worked flawlessly. Lined up very well. Alignment of motor plate worked nicely also. Had 1 of the motor plate screws give a little fight for alignment but tried that plate on an OE Stealth and it fought that hole also. Went to an OE black motor plate and it aligned flawlessly on both repop and OE stealth so it might've been the Litesink plate I used that was pretty beat up. Top brace holes flawlessly also.
- All in all without running is a very nice tranny.
RUNNING IT.
I ran the snot out of it. I ran 5 full 5000+ mah lipo thru it on a rather large tri-oval, 4 batterys thru it on the offroad track, and 2 batterys on asphalt. These were ran back to back as hard as I could without destroying the buggy. Asphalt was really hard on the buggy overall with the full speed runs.
- One motor mount hole kept coming loose. This was the one that fought me on the litesink mount. After 3rd time loosening I replaced the screw and it fixed it. Might've been the screw after fighting the other mount and had some aluminum in the threads.
- I had to replace the diff after about 6 batterys and used a well worn in but smooth replacement from an old runner. Still a bear of a time getting bearings out for inspection. I don't think the tranny housing had to do anything with this. Found the tranny brace screws were loosening up at this point. Some threads of delrin came out with them. I used new screws again after replacing the diff and seemed to fix this. They weren't loose after the torture test.
- The tranny case seemed to loosen up a bit in a good way at this point. Felt more like a used tranny case but not as loose as a well worn beat to snot case like the donor tranny for this tranny build.
- At this point I finished running out the rest of the packs on the offroad and asphalt...hard . Was running very quiet but pry just not used to 'fresh' tranny sounds .
DISASSEMBLY FOR FINAL INSPECTION.
- Last 2 packs at the smooth parking lot started to get louder but at one point the motor was loosening and I lost gear mesh for a bit roughing up the spur gear. Actually found out I was destroying a big diff bearing upon disassembly . Also put some strain on the topshaft gear. Again nothing to do with the case.
- Found a little dirt inside but not sure if it was dirt or disintergration of bearing dust or dust from gear self-lubrication. Hard to tell with the black case what kind of real color was there. Around the bottom of the case there was a spot where I could tell that dust had penetrated the case but again couldn't tell if this was the source. For what its worth it was expected with the very dusty tracks I ran on and the punishment it went thru.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Realize I am not an expert racer/runner and try not to come off as one. I have ran r/c since the early 90's regularly. Realize this was ran as a heavy race weekend as when I actually used to race with less breaks between batterys. I tried to push as hard as I could without actually destroying parts...until the asphalt run anyway . This was run with both 2 and 3 cell lipo batterys. Run with different gearing and motors. Now after this long drawn out explanation I would give it a 9 outta 10. As stated above I plan on buying a couple from each of the offerings(black delrin, white delrin, aluminum) and I wouldn't put that kinda money out if I didn't believe in these cases. Time will tell the true endurance test as like with Reggie racing his every week so I hope to get some feedback from him in the long run and his (or anyone else regulary racing these0 thoughts on these cases. Until there is more time for endurance testing I'm saying:
- 9 outta 10
- 5 stars
- GREAT ALL AROUND PRODUCT and have NO FEAR HERE!

As far as ""#&%@$%ing MONDAY!", I just turned 8 feet of Delrin into scrap(at least for this project).

Was supposed to cut it into 4.125 chunks, ended up doing 4.025.

sounds like u need to save it and reproduce some other parts like a front bulkhead or servo saver arms...

i would like to see some arms and mount peices... with the skills that go into these, servo arms should be a breeze.

Hence why I'm not 200% ticked off, the pieces should be good for bulkheads latter on.

my vote is for steering arms lol. there are few suitable replacements and would probably sell well, i could be wrong.

I decided to install an aluminum case on my CC RPM world buggy just cause it doesn't have enough bling. Here it is all built up and ready for install.



Like every piece built machine, you hit snags along the way. The square lugs on the aluminum case interfered with the narrow worlds rear arm mount. I had to file a radius around the mounting lugs to make it match the dimensions of the stock gearbox. It's only with this specific application you would need to modify the case.



All buttoned up. It looks killer and is butter smooth.

Yes they are. At this point it looks like you have to have b/s/t access to get them. That is where 300D50 has his link to these. You can pry pm him to see if he wants to let one go outside of the b/s/t area.
