That mip 4x4 is my favorite. I noticed that the gearbox is standing upright in the first pic and then has a different motor mount and is laying back in the other pics.

What is the brand of the gold motor mount?

I'm on a mission to try to find one of those nylon gear cases and turn my srb into a 2wd version of yours. I'm going to get a friend to make a 3d drawing of the trans, then try to copy it, using the original tamiya gearbox as and photos as a guide.

I wish it wasn't so hard to find the parts!

Cheers

David

Thanks, I love this little car also. The wheels are Tamiya four spoke wheels that have been stripped of paint. It gives the car a truly realistic look.

This porsche started as a Piaa GT2 porsche on a TA-03S chassis. I’ve upgraded the shocks but that’s about it.

Those little dogs are suckers sometimes. I caught one chewing on the barrell of my Tank one time.

I really like the MGD livery I used. I have loots of stuff like thorp differentials, Supershot suspension and a Tecnacraft wheels for this model. Just need to put it on the list to get reworked.

You’re right, it’s an evolution photo. First picture shows the First generation stand up tranny. The later pic is the slanted case coupled with a Hot Trick transmission/motor mount. These gear cases are as rare as hens teeth. As with anything, it can be remade but then it wouldn’t be a vintage part. Part of the coolness factor of a vintage car is it’s vintage aftermarket parts

When I was taking pics there was a little fuzz on the body. The chrome on the body must be statically charged. I had a soft t-shirt on so I used it to dust the lint off. I didn't realize my He-man chest would reflect in the pic

The photograph taken on the beach is beautiful. No wonder you chose that as an avatar. It almost looks like a real 1:1 sand rail. Makes me want to take some great scale shots when my project is finished.
