You should also be on the look out for some solid wheels, kinda like this (I thought it was a fitting pic with the color and everything... just googled and ran across it)

You could get some of those blank style wheels from JPS. (insert JPS complaint here) It will take a while to get them, but they are nice wheels. I personally would leave the ones you already have on the car.

You could also get some of those Recaro cell phone holder things to put in the cage for scale looks too. Might take up a lot of space though.

MelvinsArmy wrote:Definitely go with gold shocks. Gold and red screams old school, plus you've already got the gold on your exhaust tip. Looking good. 8)
I also thought they would look better, I'll make an other mock-up soon 8)

Yep, I have already tried to contact JPS, but no answer... I also think the wheels I have would work fine, any guess about the brand? Duratrax?

I've never seen a Recaro cell phone holder :?: :? but I plan to use a Tamiya Willy's M38 driver (at least the head because I always loved it...)

well guys, 4 new gold shocks have just been hatched out of their package, I also plan to use that small kiddex Parma front bumper, it definitely looks prettier
and more vintage IMHO :P what do you think? Silver shocks could do the trick also, but I don't have those at reach...

Sweet. I would say your wheels are JPS wheels. If you wanted to get a hold of JPS for plain wheels, it's best to call him. I say leave the holes though. 8)

Re: -Custom Sand Rail RC10-

It's back on wheels and it rocks! This is definitely my personal favourite RC10 8) I've tried to respect the previous look and go a bit more vintage.

Almost all the hardware has been changed for brand new parts; including:

- NOS front and rear gold shocks (the earliest version with plain spring retainers)
- Parma front bumper
- Brand spanking new Robinson Racing Steering control system (18° king pin with 20°/40° castor)
- White RPM ball cups
- New rear shock tower (early model with 2 holes)
- Fully ball-raced 6 gear tranny fitted with Losi outdrive bearings
- Litesink
- New white rear bulkhead (early model with long wing tubes)
- RPM black front bulkhead
- New rear dogbones with springs
- Andy's front and rear black arms

I also added a servo and a Checkpoint motor and plan to install a vintage receiver and ESC.

I still have to find a way to install the Wild Willy driver and paint it. I may also add some window netting and lexan parts to cover the front and the top, ahh decisions...

Any comment, critic or proposition woudl be appreciated, enjoy guys and girl
