My though was when the non-logo chassis came out the transition had already been made to all black parts.
Looks like it's in danger of being chopped anyway.
i am 100% positive that if you were lucky enough to get one of the kits with these chassis', they had white parts. or, at least the one i built at the hobby shop i worked at back in the day did.

Ok, If you were the guy, that pretty much sums up the story with that setup. I'm going to side with you, even though I've got an all black 6036 that has the older narrow "AE logo" chassis... but you can never tell what Associated did...and there were probably any number of transitional kits that were released in that timeframe...using up whatever parts were in current production...
OK...I'm not the one with all the NIB 6036 kits...maybe asa (or someone else) can give the full scoop... I'm just going by what I've seen in a few (+/-) years of collecting crap... Maybe I need to stick with the 1/12th cars... Were there actual all black Graphite Team cars? Or are the ones that exist anaomolies?

Well, I thought this car would solve the mystery, but that just seems to be not enough for you guys, and now we have raised more questions. We really need the advice of someone who actually worked at the AE factory in those days

Thanks for the comments guys, I actually got the car with the plastic (B4) motor guard from a friend of mine, he was racing the car and didn't want it to be a shelfer. I got all the parts to rebuild it with original parts, including a brand new gold motor guard Update will come later, I'm toooooo busy at work for the moment...

Glad I found this thread...my buddy scored the roller below on craiglist and we were wondering if he could run it in a vintage race. Late model team graphite chassis...has some black parts and some white parts.
This will be my first of hopefully many chronicled clean up rebuilds. Out of all the different versions of RC10 I’m lucky enough to own this is the one I’m most excited about. 4C7E3324-1C06-4B25-9407-0E40C41FFB8B.jpeg...

Ok great, finally had the opportunity to pick it up today.
Could you guys tell me the differences between a regular RC10 Graphite and a RC10 Graphite Team car besides the obvious...teflon shocks and stealth tranny? thanks in advance!

Thanks guys I found exactly what I needed thanks to you guys. I appreciate it.
Do you notice any handling differences between the RC10 graphite team car and the RC10 team car with tub chassis (both fitted with white nylon parts throughout)?
I haven't driven either yet. Been a while...greetings all :)

I would say the tub chassis has more flex and probably a lot bigger sweet spot for setup
Well over a month ago I was on Ebay looking for some 1/25 model car wheels and found a add for some tires that had this car also in the back ground, and it was included in the sale but was only mentioned as a old RC car, I knew it was a RC10 of some...

Lookin' good, Rick! what have you done to the chassis to make it look this good?
Keep it up!

Thank you all for the complements. I didnt do much but give it a bath and scrub it real good. I got lucky it had some kind of tape on the front and...
Does anyone have any photos of the graphite Team car other than this one? I'm debating on using a similar scheme on a graphite car and wanted to get more details of it.
Just wanted to share this one again with you guys. I had long lost pictures of the car and as I paid a visit to the attic I thought I would quickly snap some pictures. The car was used for racing by a fellow Belgian racer. He also gave me this...

So this chassis looks like the lower deck from a Composite Craft '91 worlds conversion chassis set. Is there any connection between the two? Just curious. Did CC grind these out for AE?
While they look a bit similar they’re actually very...
I wish I took pics of this car before I fixed it up..
Back story...
This graphite team car sat in a local hobby shop display case in perfect condition for over 6 years that I have been going to it, until three months ago. I always drooled over this...

Thanks!!
Tell me about it!! All those years the owner would never sell it and then to sell for $60 only to have it get almost destroyed.
