Step away from the drill
Pet peeve of mine with the old school losi cars is the often random appearance of drilled holes in the chassis, mostly around the steering servo. I decided to give a try at designing a mount to eliminate the need for drilling but that would be stronger than servo tape alone. This is what I came up w...

Re: Step away from the drill
As a followup to that design I extended the mount to the rear and added a couple bosses on each side through which a 1-3/8 transmission screw is used to hold velcro for a battery mount. This gives a little more length to the battery mount area and extra height for modern batteries. It also ties the ...

Re: JRX-2 aftermarket build Updated 1/30/19
Thanks guys. The shock carts are by SRS, they are machined delrin and use the rebuild kits from the old school bottom load rc10 gold shocks. I actually load them with a combo of modern ae spacers, and traxxas rebuild kits which include the retaining clip and washer as these are easier to come by tha...

Re: Finally got a JRX-T
That should work. I haven't done it on the ghaphite chassis but MIP made a steering kit that used 4-40 screws through 8-32 countersunk holes for the RC-10GT that I used for years, though that was an aluminum chassis. Just make sure that the base of the cone where the threads start doesn't end up abo...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
A little late to the party but here is mine, using 2-56 and 6-32 nylon nuts and a hackfab mini-t oval battery strap cut up and attached to a printed mount.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
the 2-56 fit but strip easily as the internal diameter is a touch big. I ran the car and they stayed in place for most of the run till it flipped. They look nice on the shelf though.

Re: Thorp Dirt Burners Losi JRX2 LRM Gears
I've gotta find that 5108 to fill in my collection. Does anyone know what 5109 or 5111 are? (assuming they weren't skipped) The 5110 complete set has a ball bearing center gear and the deeper recess side gear as well, didn't know it was available separately though. 5100 Diff gear set 5101 left gear ...

Re: JRXT Rebuilt Questions
The rev-a and rev-b are the revisions, "production release" is the first version. I just flipped through my copy of production release and rev-a and didn't see any obvious major changes, they look the same to me. I don't have a rev-b to compare. The battery holder may have changed to the s...
