This was an awesome post to find! I just resurected an Ultima II that was given to me. I'm deciding if I'll convert it to brushless. Right now its got a trinity monster motor, a hobbywing 1060 esc, running futaba radio and servo. I'll snap some pics...
was gonna turn it into a turbo ultima but changed my mind as the chassis nip was to hard to find...i have nip turbo ultima rims n rubber but I like all my shelfers to have t&a machining rims lol

I think that the forwarded hinge pin locations creates higher forces to hinge pin and to suspension arm hole around hinge pin and because of this the suspension got stuck when it moves and it does not work as freely as normal A-arm suspension would...
