Re: Top speed?
I forgot to mention that was without a shell or wing, as the GPS was too big to fit under the shell. Not sure how that would affect things

Re: Top speed?
I would think without a body it would slow it down some. Loosing the wing would help, it would only create drag for top speed runs.
Best of luck, you're almost at 50![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: Top speed?
That's what I was thinking. I might try taping the GPS to the bottom of the car and putting the shell on the car to see if I can crack 50 with no further mods.

Because you should look at THIS video. They are trying to beat another car that did 162 mph (yes I'm serious)

No question that car was tech'd out, but what's up with that camera work!?RC104ever wrote:Because you should look at THIS video. They are trying to beat another car that did 162 mph (yes I'm serious)

They showed a guy using state of the art equipment to develop that rig and then a guy with a BETA max standing 100 yds back to film it...

Re: Top speed?
Wouldn't loosing the wing reduce downforce and limit tire contact with the ground?teman wrote:I would think without a body it would slow it down some. Loosing the wing would help, it would only create drag for top speed runs.

Re: Top speed?
I honestly don't know because all the top speed runs I've done were without a shell OR a wing. I'm wondering if I took off the springs and just let the car sit lower to the ground if that would help too. Hmm...
