Re: Your vintage nats competition
that's the biggest reason why i didn't spend a whole lot of time on it.bscotti wrote:Hopefully you won't scr8p it up too bad
one thing i noticed on these chinese protech bodies is the right side of the body seems to angle into the nose. that's why, if you look at the close up pic, it looks like i laid the tape crooked. it's because of the body. the left side is fine. it bugs me a little bit, the way it looks. but, there wasn't much i could do about it, since i already had the left side laid out, and i didn't want to redo it. oh well.............
a strategically placed decal could fix it.

it also seems the right pod is just a touch higher at the front than the left. they are still 100x better than the old ones.scr8p wrote:that's the biggest reason why i didn't spend a whole lot of time on it.bscotti wrote:Hopefully you won't scr8p it up too bad

Re: Your vintage nats competition
This is what I'll be bringing:
2wd class / RC10 (posted this somewhere else, but here it is again!
)

4wd class / Hotshot:

Classics / Grasshopper mess:

I'll also be bringing a Hotshot I'm doing with all vintage parts and hopups. It's coming along nicely, but is not ready for the camera!

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Here's the "Odd Couple" XX/RC10T tag Team Tecnica
I just installed the Novak 17.5 brushless on the 10T with an 87 spur/25 pinion and drove it on a half charged stick pack and
that thing is quick, I wasn't expecting that kind of speed out of a "stock" motor.
I also have the CVDs and new bearings to install on the !0T.

Re: Your vintage nats competition
i'm pretty much done with my 2 rigs besides paint and c-clips.
i got one outfitted with the novak system and the other with a speed passion system. i dont have any experience with the 27t brushed motors (in race apps), but the brushless setups are darn sure fast enough for me.
