"A" gold tub chassis score

Post by RABIDFOX50 »

New member here. Old hand at Associated RC10s (20+ yrs). I recently picked up a gold tub RC10 with a 6 gear trans and 'A' marked chassis. The trans still feels smooth after cleaning it up and it has a pair of front Kyosho shocks. I didn't notice them before since the auction pics were not that great. The shocks are like new with very smooth bound and rebound. The rear shocks were in rough shape but after a good cleaning and rebuild, they are like new. Here are a few shots:

It was $15.00 plus $10 shipping. I figured if worse came to worse I would use it for parts. My current RC10 is complete but put away for now. I was looking for 10T parts when I found this one. Anyway, what do you think? Build it up, sell it or shelf it for parts?

Definitely worth what you paid. I would build it up to run it. If you'd be interested in trading those front shocks for a pair of stock AE shocks + some cash, let me know.

It looks like the last owner swapped out the original front arms. I was amazed at how clean it came out. I wanted to keep the nylon parts white in case I traded / sold it. I know many out there like the original look. I myself would just dye them black as I did with my other AE vehicles.
