Kyosho Lazer ZX -- 2010 VONATs Entry....
Here's the car that I'll enter as my 4wd entry at the 2010 VONATs, I was in the hunt for one of these for this year's race, but this one I found just a little too late....
Hopefully I'll just have to rebuild and clean, I need to sort out a new body for it, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
Here are some Pictures:

Re: Kyosho Lazer ZX -- 2010 VONATs Entry....
I have recently finished my own ZX, and purchased the Kamtec body and tray set (very nice btw) They do not fit the standard ZX without some modifictions to the stock ZX chassis however. I would suggest buying the body and tray set and (during your rebuild) put the chassis in the under tray to see where material should be removed (you will see what I mean when you get there). Also, I picked up an obscene amount of ZX spares at local hobby shop a while back. LMK if there is anything you are looking for, I may be able to help. -Jeff

Thank you.... I saw on another thread somewhere, someone fitted a B44 undertray and body onto the ZX and it didn't look that bad...

yes they do fit but when using original chassi you have to move the undertray forward and do a little bit of cutting in the back.

Man,
I got this car today, and after close inspection, this car was a steal, $110 shipped, came with a set of new tires, and two other pairs of used tires, I'll probably sell those. It came with a Futaba MC116 ESC or something, Futaba Servo and Receiver, and a Motor.
The chassis is in great condition, drive train feels nice and smooth, and I can fit my stick pack lipos in it, I dont have to run saddle pack lipos....
I'll post some pictures when I get home...

You can buy a zx body from kamtec as well. I know that this car likes a lot of weight so may not be balanced with lipos. Ive had to design carbon fibre lipo trays and am trying to get brass rear top deck mounts made from brass, which i will be doing with my lipo trays to put that needed weight back

Thanks for the Suggestion.
But the Reedy 5000mah battery pack is close in weight to a 3600 NIMH, and I can run it right across the chassis, and underneath the belt...
I might go with the ZXs body from Kamtec, the original ZX body is huge and ugly as heck....
Brandon,
Oh definitely, I wanted a 4wd entry for this years VONATs but couldn't find one in time....

If I run 4wd next year, it will NOT be a Tamiya.
Very tempting to run the Lazer I scored, but it is too nice.... May have to find another with slightly more wear on it.
I might have a Bosscat lined out.... Still waiting on that one. It will probably be too nice too.

hi tecnica2001, I'll have to say that the ZX would have to be the better looking bodyset than the other ZX's, this is my car that I ran at Knox 2008 Vintage Enduro

Freddy,
My Lazer ZX is on the way It will take the place of the YZ-10 at the 2010 Vonats, that is of course if I don't get my hands on a Cat before then
I'll have pix up as soon as I get some time

I just found out that the Axles on the ZX don't have pins or pin holes for that matter, what the heck??? are there any axles that I can replace these with??
