I just saw this scan today. I made that decades ago using my Dad's 8x10 photos. This was before the age of computers. I drew the black outlines, masked off the interior, and used an airbrush to add the color to a very large white poster board. The 8x10 corners were trimmed and glued down. The lettering in the caption banners were rub-down lettering -- you had a sheet of letters which you moved around to position a letter where you wanted it, and you rubbed the top to transfer the lettering to the board. The "World Champions" and "Team Associated" banners were all hand-lettered and colored. The printer received the poster and logo elements and produced the negatives for the magazine.
