Tamiya Resto - But what is it?
With three days left on my vacation and after finally feeling close to 100% after having the flu (not swine) during my vacation I decided to just start opening boxes and not closing them til the projects inside are done. Sorry Scr8p, no 10s yet. This was the second of the day today that was completed.
I have to say that this is one of the coolest classis restorations I have done, starting with the pic and a few other cool things about the chassis. The only new parts are wheels/tires, chassis and front bumper. Everything else is all original.
Any guesses?

I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Since being on this site I have found that I have too many parts and R/C Models. Please help me get rid of them.

Looks like the Diff. assembly for the Can Am Lola or the Datsun 280zx . You had two options with those kits. Differential or direct drive.

Well if he's got the Can Am Lola I wish he'd show it. That's probably something he'd have.rctenracer wrote:Looks like the Diff. assembly for the Can Am Lola or the Datsun 280zx . You had two options with those kits. Differential or direct drive.

Re: Tamiya Resto - But what is it?
How rude.... still no more pictures of the 280ZX/Lola that this "limited slip differential" (according to the Tamiya promo at the time) fits into..... what a disgrace!
Seriously though, the Racing Master Mk1 (and, to a lesser extent, the RM MK2) chassis' are some of my favourite vintage Tamiya stuff.... you can keep your SRBs and stuff, I'll take one of these any day! Such an over-engineered chassis..... and so many options, right out of the box!
I have a picture somewhere of my old RM MK1, during it's rebuild - all parts spread out in true Mr Tamiya display fashion. Such a great photo, should try and find it again.....
