another Vintage Rc10 build

Post by Cooperd82 »

this isnt for the squemish. 1st off i would like to assure that i have a 92rc10 CE 100% orginal never seen the track so no need for a restro.
what i did do is buy a beat up black pan and gold nose piece off ebay. 45$ but also came with a tore up flo pan and alota spare parts.
this is still a wip but is nearly compleated.

Front end is off a B3 that i bought 2 months ago for 100$

1/8" spacer under the bulkhead to reduce the cutting on the nose piece. basicly entire nose is B3 minus the bumper and nose skid plate.
Rear end is kinda tricky. B4 rear CV, hubs skid plate A-arms shock tower and B3 tranny. yes B3, just had to stretch the holes for the stealth to fit. B4 is a little wider then the B3 on the rear holes.
A guy broke a SC10 chassis last weekend and tossed it. i recovered it for the rear mounting setup and cut the rear end down to fit in the pan. i also flipped over the rear shock tower and tie-rod mount point to clear the top of the pan better so less cut modding on the pan its self. also has a ~1/16" spacer under the entire rear end for the A-arms to clear the chassis so no cutting in that area.

i had this at the track last night. had a lot of, "what is that?", "Thats a B what?", "WOW thats old school". i havnt even tuned it yet. i just slaped parts on it and it really handled great aside from the lill over jump and pan slap on the clay.
Right now im in the process of painting the body. i got 2 more unpainted still NIP i wana pant like the 92ce manual but in color and finding the color code isnt goin very well atm but theres no real rush.

Now For the PIX!
btw my cell phone camera isnt the best. Ill post more pix later on with internal shots.
