New toy- Desert truck
well I have wanted one of these since they came out, so when the chance came to get it I had to have it. I have to thank fasterlouder for the sweet trade of my Junior T for the Losi Desert truck. I know a lot of people dont like these but this thing Rocks. it is a Losi XXXT with some upgrades. I will be getting a new body as soon as possible, my Jrx2 needs one first, as it is bare.
Re: New toy- Desert truck
My buddy got one of those last year as his first rc. It's a good truck, I don't know why so many people don't like them. It's based off the xxx-t cr. It has the same longer chassis, non threaded shock bodies, different shock towers, body, wheels/tires, and a gear diff. Other than that its the same truck. They handle pretty well in stock form and seems to be very durable.

I lovem, I have one with a MM 7700 in it, and WOW, it's bloody fast. At speed if you hit a small bump it wheelies!! Looks great and it's alot of fun. I also don't really understand why people don't like them, it's a cool little truck if you ask me.

I agree its cool, it looks just like the Losi XXXT I use to have with some different bolt on's. I cant wait till I can run it.
Re: New toy- Desert truck
Bearickster I think you'll like it. The stock tires have pretty good traction on all surfaces (except a packed track), and they wear really good. You can get the cage and bumpers in black or chrome also if that's something that appeals to you. If they had this truck out when & bought my T4, then I would have bought it. Seems to pull the front end up easier than my T4 also. Can't figure that out.

Re: New toy- Desert truck
well after new paint I put my LRP 10.5 brushless in it and ran it around the yard a few times. it worked so good I took it to the beach on the 4th. that didnt work out so good? I made two passes down the beach and it started acting funny. so I went over to it and you all know that smell. I reached in and yanked the battery wires but to late. Got to love it?
