Re-re SRB dampers

Post by tiger1 »

Hi:

The old SRB shocks with single o-ring leak like anything.

The new re-re srb has new shocks with double o-rings, do they still leak? Does the new design really work well?? :D

Yes they leak a tiny bit, no big deal. Just top them up!

I've found that unless you get them really tight, they will leak. Has to do with the way they are machined inside the body sandwiching the o-ring. Tighten them down good and they are acceptable.

nice to hear i'm not the only one who thinks these shocks do leak.
nothing i would have expected to come from tamiya after so many years in this hobby. anyone know of a good replacement set that would fit without huge modifications?
