Original RC10T... what wheels would you recommend from Tower
I know I need 2.2... that's it.
Please help.
Please help.
JRX2 in the late 80s... have since come to my senses with the RC10T, yes of course it's vintage! Wife is always destroying her Tamiaya LunchBox to call me her personal mechanic a few more times. Enjoying the fresh build of an RJ Speed Digger.

Heffay,
first off, welcome to the board! Secondly, if your 10T is original it probably has the 1/4" axles in the rear, to run any current off the shelf wheel you will need to convert them to 3/16" axles in the rear. look in temple's rc10 tech forum under the 2.2 buggy tire conversion thread, it's stickied at the top of the page, the parts to do the conversion will be the same on an original 10T as it is for the buggy. from there you can run current associated wheels

If you don't want to convert to the 3/16 axles right now but still want some new 2.2 wheels shoot me a PM, I think I have what you need.

Isn't that first link you sent the correct set for 1/4 axles?
The description toward the bottom seems to agree.
Although, if you can beat price I wouldn't mind.

ahh yes, so it is! for some reason I thought that the 1/4 axle wheels had been discontinued.
Re: Original RC10T... what wheels would you recommend from Tower
With help from this forum... I've learned that I have a B chassis.
Would we still call that "original"?... my guess is probably not.

As far as I remember, that's original for the trucks since they never came with gold chassis'.

PBR, thanks for the set of wheels!
I won't disclose the ridiculously low price, but Its nice not to pay hobby shop prices once in a while.
I've got the 1/4 wheels and axles, and mounted a pair of Proline Dirtworks on the rear. I really like the tread design as its pretty true to life, even down to the outer edge of every other lug being in-cut.
I haven't had it out very much because the weather is nasty, as well as the roads, but soon.
Next up... wheel bearings and dog-bones.
I recently noticed that one of my dog-bones is slightly bent.
It was well loved long before I got ahold of it.
I'm trying to nurse it back, but not do an entire refurbish... yes, it was bashed that hard.
Thus, why you haven't seen pix of the underside of the chassis.
