Today one of my friends was talking about replacing his RC10's chewed up transmission with a metal geared Traxxas Magnum 272. He likes to run his RC10.... a lot, and would like the convenience of going to the lhs to get parts instead of scouring ebay. I myself got to wondering if it could be done. After looking at this picture... and looking at a Traxxas Bandit at the lhs, it probably could work with some jerry-rigging.....
Its something that could be done but less work could be had by building a bulletproof stealth for it. What is he breakin on his rc10 tranny and what tranny is he using?

Peace and professionlism.....Kabunga signing off!!!
the only problem i can see after fitting it, is the outdrives fitting for the dogbones.. you could Use MIP outdrives.. but those are rare obviously, is it even the same size?
if he still want to use the traxxas trany,is easy to make it work with losi axle and the traxxas universal.i did that on project texaswilly.
work great.handle lots of power to.but i would still prefer a stealth
I'm building a Bullet from the ground up and was lucky enough to source almost everything minus the transmission cases. I bought perhaps the roughest Bullet ever from eBay as a guide(im still itchy from cleaning it) for this and the cases are just...

Back in 88/89? My Brother and I had to drill an aftermarket RC10 graphite chassis to accept the stealth trans back when it FIRST came out as a hop-up. Then we we drilled a hole behind the front shock tower to set up a single vertical bolt/shaft to...

Since then I've found this site & have been looking through the...

I've got one someone drilled full of gigantic holes that I've been wondering what to do with! Not sure this would stand up to being cut down, if you see what I mean.
Highly inspired by JHarris and his modded up Pro Radiant - I decided to do the same/similar.
First off - I have always yearned deeply for a Pro Radiant, they just looked so damn cool. Saw one ONCE at a race track - only in magazines and kits in...
Well I am going to be getting to grips with some imagineering projects for the next couple of weeks as all my stuff is packed up and I will be homeless from Sarturday (fingers crossed my new home will be available very shortly).
