What's the difference between the lethal weapon trans ment for the rc10 and one ment for the ultima. Will they interchange. Also do you guys think it would handle modern brushless power with 3s lipo or am I waisting my time.
I actually think they are the same thing. The LW tranny has several different mounting holes on the bottom and will require the drilling of a couple more for installation. I have the Ultima version and the instructions have mounting info for multiple different cars.
Was reading through an old post thought I would share some info.
Lethal Weapon was the first tranny - the one with all the 3/32 ball's in the diff.
Lethal Weapon 2 was the second generation Diff. The tranny, case, Gears, bearings and belt the...

Welcome to the board Daryl!!! You are truely an asset to this hobby and its great that you are now on this site with us. People, the belt drive master is now aboard.........
I talked to Daryl yesterday at Factory Works, inquiring about parts, etc., and he has A&L trannies for the Ultima available. I asked about the RC10, and he said he needs to get diff parts machined in order to get some available for the 6 gear...
With the slipper plate and spur it will be completed. I´ll install in my next project. I love these extrange transmissions. I have a RPM with Hydradrive and a Stealth with Hydra too. The last...

I had to go buy a bigger monitor so I could see your pics. I went with the Apple 30 HD Cinema Display; a little pricey, but I really wanted to see your pics....
Yeah, A&L sold that for a bunch of cars and trucks. There was a Lethal...
I have an A&L Lethal Weapon and was wondering if anyone has had any luck adapting a more robust slipper to the top shaft. I'd like to run a brushless setup but I don't want to destroy the slipper or transmission. The mildest motor I have is a 10.5...
Just got back into the hobby a few months ago and started a new build. Started to acumilate parts and got an Andys chassis, arms, shock towers, bulkhead, hubs, and spindles. I was gonna use my A&L Lethal weapon belt drive transmission and...
So I was wondering if any of y'all got the same issue(s)? Have an 87T spur and a 20T pinion on a Lethal Weapon trans/Power Clutch. The motor bottoms out against the tranny case and the gears barely mesh. So, duh, larger spur or pinion, right? Well I...

Hi Mark
We always ran 48 pitch 90 to 96 tooth spurs stock and mod with 26 to 40 tooth pinions. I liked the tooth angles better on the larger gears. I mostly ran Kimbrough spurs and Robinson racing spurs.
Ok, I did a search for this but could not find the answer to what the final drive ratio is for the A&L Lethal Weapon. So after some disassembly, I figured out it's 2.22:1. The diff has 40 teeth and the top shaft has 18. I guess this explains why you...

Ratio is not different the Instruction sheet is different, sorry if I was not clear. Richie had mentioned the posted instructions did not look like the ones he received with his LW2. All our LW's use the same gears (pulley's) and all have a 2.22...
I figured I'd start this thread to help people with their LW tranny.
These pics and info were sent to me through e-mails from Daryl of Factory Works after I ordered a Lethal Weapon tranny kit without the proper diff halves because they're no longer...
