Sand Scorcher 2010
g'day Guys
Just finished my 2010 SS.
Shortened the chassis 5mm to get the wheelbase correct, had the wheels , wipers & exhaust chrome plated.
Action pics to follow after I give it a good flogging this weekend!
regards
Jak

Hi Jak,
Besty and myself were wanting to get a beach run in this weekend. Do you want to meet up and run some cars in the sand?

Re: Sand Scorcher 2010
I just went to Electric Town Akihabara and I almost passed out when I saw the Sand Scorcher 2010 retailing for 21300 yen (US$238) and the Buggy Champ for 20500 yen. I almost bought one on the spot but the box is absolutely enormous for a 1/10th.
It's a re-release but this has to be the best value car on the planet.

bum deal,if that fails,i know a place...briang wrote:Looks great. Mine was supposed to be here tonight but when I opened my box from tower hobbies, they sent me a freaking airplane by mistake. Now customer service is closed until tomorrow and they only have limited quantity in stock. If they're sold out by tomorrow AM when I can call to get this straight, I'm gonna be pissed. Sorry for the rant but I'm pretty bummed right now. Probably my last dealing with tower.

Nice job!
Huh? So they sent you the wrong thing and you're done with them? Your loss. Tower has about the best customer service I've ever dealt with and I'm not just talking r/c suppliers.briang wrote:Looks great.
