Mamba Micro Pro In A 540 Brushed Crawler?

Post by nvxwax »

Sorry to keep posting questions lol, all this new stuff is crazy lol, much easier 20 years ago lol.

Ok i have a Mamba micro pro and a 55T brushed motor

First: Will this be a problem in a 1/10 crawler / Trail Truck (SCX10)? I know its an 1/18 scale ESC.

Second: Im running 4000mAh 2S lipos, Do i have to run a external BEC with a 2S?

Thanks

I'd say you will be fine since you are running the 55t and sticking with 2s in a trail truck. I think they are around 30-35 amp. People (including myself) run 35a esc's in 1/10 cars all the time. You won't need an external bec as long as you stick with 2s.

You should definatly be fine with that set up, as there are quite a few crawler guys that run 1/18 set ups (mamba micro and sidewinder) in crawlers without a problem. The bec isn't really needed until you run 3s. It is nice if you run the castle bec, b/c you can up the voltage a bit to your servo to get a true 6v. In a crawler it is nice to get all the torque possible out of the steering servo.
