Sanding JRX2 chassis

I have 3 JRX2's and boxes of parts and I am going to begin a shelf queen build taking the best parts from all and then build a runner as well.

I have a chassis that is pretty nice but with some scratches. Has anyone wet sanded the bottom without totally disrupting the original finish? How about fine steel wool? Dremel?

Ideas?

I have wet sanded the Losi chassis before, but it is hard to replicate the dull surface of the original. Don't get too greedy with it as you will get into the fiberglass portion if you go too deep. The one I did came out nicely and very smooth. I think I finished it with 800 grit.

I just did the same to my chassis. To get the glue off I soaked the spot with acetone and used a sharp chisel layed down flat against the chassis. Worked great!

has anyone tried this on the outside of a lexan body? i have a couple of bodies i would like to get started on, but they have scratches on them. what grade of sandpaper would anyone start with, since it's on the outside of the body? what about wet...

So I’m restoring a JRX2. The chassis I’ve got is decent but needs a bit of tlc. I hit it with fine grit paper and that helped. Anyone do anything else like paint it? Thanks

Had a jrx2 growing up and am looking to get a jrxt now.

How can you tell the difference between a jrx2 conversion to a jrxt vs an original jrxt chassis. I read that the angle for the jrx2 is 20 degrees vs 30 degrees for a jrxt in a previous forum....

Working on my 5 link racer right now. I had forgotten how flexible the front X2 arms are. I got to thinking about the swept arms.

I was thinking of running them but wonder if they wheelbase will be too short with a stock X2 chassis. Then I got to...

I've no personal experience, but I've heard don't run the swept arms with the short chassis. I want to build up an X2 myself, and I think I'm going to just run Ultima arms as well since 1. they are rugged, and 2. i have a spare set already.

Can you buy the big black chassis screws still (8-32 x 1/2 phillips I believe), I have associated ones galore but not these. I used up my last package of them, is there a bulk solution?

Hello All! I have a jrx2 plate chassis and it has some small nicks on the edges and ideas on a product or method to repair them for a shelfie. Also maybe a topcoat that can have the same sheen as the original?

Sassy have many type aluminum chassis that days,like RC10 、optima mid、cat xl，anyone seen the losi jrx2（or series cars）chassis before？I am not losi guy so have this stupid question.
