Its a traxxas, but what is it?

Post by tn102 »

I think this is a Traxxas Hawk, but I could only find one picture of one that is electric. These are the only 2 pictures I have of it, since I am currently working on my RC10. This is going to be my next project, once I find out what it is, and get my RC10 running

Thanks for the confirmation on this. Once I get my RC10 done, I'm going to work straight on this. I have the rear arms and bearing carriers for it, but that is about it. I think that I have a body mount, but it is broken on one side, so I'll have to find someone who can make a replacement, or find one.

Thanks, that will help since all traxxas has for it is a parts list. I already picked out a body for it, but I don't have a picture yet. I think it'll fit, but I might have to cut new holes for it to fit.

I know what parts I need I just don't know what they are called. I do know i will need new body mounts, I have both of the towers, but each one has a mount broken off. School just stared back up now, so it limits me to maybe one day a week I have to work on them, at best. I'll probably get a list of parts I need for this going when I'm not working on my others

That will help a lot. I saved the scans on my iPod, so once I start building all I have to do is scroll over for the next page.

what parts can I use that would be more available to replace what is missing???

the front arms are compatible with the blueeagle/nitro hawk/etc arms

the rears can be replaced with nitro rusty arms

the camber blocks can be replaced with nitro rusty versions as well.

if you want to go crazy losi slider front arms will work with some shims and will let you run stampede/rustler rear arms

the ball end may need to be replaced, none that ive got seem to last long, ive swapped out most of the ones on my cars to dubro and nip stocks
