Is the Protec II body still available?
Is the Protec II body still available?
Is it still available? If not what would a new in packet one be worth?
Thanks,

Nope, discontinued a while back. For the worth, whatever someone is willing to pay. Could be $5 or could be $5k. The value of vintage RC items are not like Baseball cards, there is no price guide. The best way to get a general idea is to check the ebay completed auctions. There are a few people out there reproducing many vintage bodies so vales of NIP have gone down a bit.Northy2 wrote:Is it still available? If not what would a new in packet one be worth?

Protec 1adam lancia wrote:http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX2697&P=7
However as the Viper is readily available I don't see many people wanting to spend big $ on a Protec 2.

I know it's on the site somewhere but what's the difference between the two bodies?

Re: Is the Protec II body still available?
HAHAHA! Well for me I'm way way way more on the $5 side of the span of value given for what I'd be willing to spend on a NIP Protec II body (and I want one). Mostly, I was just trying to say it is impossible to give you a value of worth since it all depends on how much the buyer is will to spend. I think that is the #1 question asked on vintage RC forums though.adam lancia wrote:Ssssshhhhhh, he won't noticej/k

If you like the looks of the body I'd say keep it and put it on one of your RC10s. I like the blocked off rear end much better than the rounded rear of the Viper body.

I think the protech II was on the CE car right? They don't seem to come up on ebay very often. I think I may still have a few if you ae looking for one.
