Monster Energy RC10DS :) Updated 01-19-11

Post by nvxwax »

Well here is my Monster Energy RC10DS project, well sort of, Im still waiting on the decals to arrive from Hong Kong :)

Its a stock RC10Ds with a 200mm HPI Saleen Mustang body (I'm a mustang freak), The wheels base needed to be a little shorter to fit the body, I'm using RC10B4 offset steering knuckles shaved down. It got the wheelbase almost perfect. I gave up on mounting the body with magnets :), Im going to apply the decals before i paint the body so i can make sure they will match up. The decals are actually for a Monster Energy Subaru (No i am leaving the Subaru specific decals off :))

As soon as the decals arrive and i get a day the temperature is not below 70 (That should be in spring lol) i will finish it :)

Well i got the decals on and the paint done, I suck at painting so don't pick to bad lol. I think its ADHD, i cant seem to wait till the paint is dry or do the correct preparation. I'm always rushing to see the final product :)

:D

That Mustang body is awesome!

If you can find them, I'd go with the black wheel centers to match the paint scheme.

I need to give mine a face lift...

Now if someone would just make a stock looking '96..
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...

Looks good. Paint jobs only look "bad" when the car is sitting on a shelf.
